Product Overview

The WWII German Marksmanship Lanyard - First Pattern (German: Schützenschnur) was a military award presented to soldiers of the Wehrmacht for excellence in rifle marksmanship. Instituted in 1936, the lanyard recognized enlisted personnel and non-commissioned officers who demonstrated superior shooting proficiency during official qualification tests.

Worn on the right shoulder of the service tunic, the lanyard was crafted from braided aluminum cord.
