Krim Shield
The Krim Shield, also known as the Crimean Shield in English, was a military decoration instituted by the Wehrmacht during World War II. It was awarded to German and Romanian soldiers who participated in the battles and occupation of the Crimean Peninsula.
The shield was given to commemorate the service and valor of soldiers who took part in the defense, capture, or occupation of the Crimean region between September 21, 1941, and July 4, 1942. The design of the Krim Shield featured an eagle over a swastika, placed on a shield-shaped background with the word "Krim" inscribed underneath.
