The Grand Cross of the Order of the German Eagle was the highest grade of the Order of the German Eagle (Orden vom Deutschen Adler), a diplomatic award created by Adolf Hitler on 1 May 1937.
The order was specifically established to honor foreigners—particularly diplomats, heads of state, and high-ranking officials—who were considered friendly or useful to the Third Reich. It was not awarded to German citizens.
